PINK PANTIES PANTRY

Pink Panties Pantry™

Periods Aren’t Optional—Access Shouldn’t Be a Privilege

For thousands of unhoused women and girls across Southern California, safe, reliable period care is the invisible need—a basic necessity that’s often overlooked. When supplies aren’t available, they’re forced to improvise with socks, rags, or plastic bags. The result is infection, shame, and isolation.

Pink Panties Pantry™ exists to change that.

Our Mission

Pink Panties Pantry™ is a She Stories™ initiative delivering free period-care kits—our signature Pink Packs™—to unhoused women and girls. Each Pink Pack™ is compact enough to carry but powerful enough to say: You are seen. You are worthy. You matter. Inside every kit: pads, tampons, wipes, new underwear and a handwritten love note of encouragement.

How It All Started

Our founder, Ehmandah Ramsey, was once approached by a homeless woman—not for food, but for a tampon.
Soon after, She Stories™ partnered with a Brenton Lee Salon to host a community Period Party, where volunteers assembled more than 200 care packs. What began as a one-time event became Pink Panties Pantry™—a community-powered hygiene initiative rooted in dignity, education, and compassion.

Impact by the Numbers

Since that first gathering, the Pink Panties Pantry™ team and volunteers have:

  • Distributed over 3,000 Pink Packs™ across Los Angeles County and the Inland Empire.

  • Delivered kits to shelters and organizations including House of Ruth, Hope for Homes, Love My Neighbor Foundation, Inland Valley Hope Partners, Union Station Pasadena, and Foothill Family Shelter.

  • Partnered with Western University of Health Sciences, NCNW Pomona Valley, and Our Culture Hub Foundation to collect, pack, and distribute kits through student engagement and community events.

  • Placed donation drop boxes in women owned businesses and local universities, proving that when women show up for each other, impact multiplies.

COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS

Our impact is possible thanks to an incredible network of local organizations that have collected supplies, hosted Hygiene Parties, or received Pink Packs™ for distribution.

We’re proud to have collaborated with:

  • House of Ruth

  • Hope for Homes

  • Love My Neighbor Foundation

  • Inland Valley Hope Partners

How We Serve

Hygiene Parties
High-energy volunteer gatherings where we assemble Pink Packs™, share information about period poverty, and celebrate the power of community.

Dignity Drops
We partner with local organizations to deliver Pink Packs™ where they’re needed most. Kits reach women and girls in shelters, families facing hardship, and those living unsheltered—restoring hygiene and dignity across our communities.

Strategic Partnerships
Collaborations with trusted nonprofits, faith communities, and schools to ensure every Pink Pack™ reaches the women and girls who need it most.

Your Role in the Movement

Pink Panties Pantry™ is funded entirely by people like you. As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, every gift is tax-deductible and immediately turned into dignity for women who would otherwise go without.

  • $15 funds and delivers one Pink Pack™

  • $20/month makes you a Pretty Partner, covering a Pink Pack™ every month and helping restock our hygiene pantry

  • $50 supports two Pink Packs™ plus community outreach and distribution

Host Your Own Party

Want to amplify the impact? Host your own Hygiene Party with guidance from our team. Whether you’re a local business, school, faith community, or a group of friends, we’ll provide resources and step-by-step support so you can gather supplies, pack Pink Packs™, and deliver them where they’re needed most. Together, we can make sure no woman has to choose between food and a tampon.
